Families as Partners

We have invested in a handful of powerful communication tools to ensure that our families stay connected to all things Adelante and Emma Donnan. In addtion to providing each staff member with an iPhone so that you can get into direct contact with them, we use a few key platforms to aid in our partnership with you. 

How we Communicate

We send out texts and calls for general updates. You can always text back and it will go right to the person that sent it.


You can text anyone on the staff directly or respond to a teacher's text from our computer system and it will go right to them.


Important! Teachers and staff are not expected to answer calls or respond when they are teaching. They also may not respond right away after school hours because we encourage them to spend time with their families.

We send a monthly newsletter to all families. It will be sent via email and a small paper copy will be sent home.


All paper flyers and updates will go home on Wednesdays each week.

Progress Report and Report Card dates are on the school calendar. They will go home on green and yellow paper. The green paper needs to be signed and returned. 


Families can always see their child's real time grades by logging into Clever and clicking on PowerSchool

PowerSchool Parent

Access PowerSchool Parent using the App

  • Step One: Download the App

    Using your device's App Store, search and then download the PowerSchool Parent App.

  • Step Two: District Code

    We use the same PowerSchool as Indianapolis Public Schools does. When prompted to enter the district code, put in the following:

  • Step Three: Log In

    During your enrollment process, the Adelante Schools team provided you with a log-in. You can always reset this information in a few different ways. 


    Access your Username: 

         - Click "Forgot Username or Password"

         - Click recover username

         - Enter the email you used to enroll your scholar


    Access your Password:

         - Click "Forgot Username or Password"

         - Click reset password

         - Enter the email you used to enroll your scholar

         - Enter your username


    If all else fails, call our Main Office and we will help!

SchoolPass

School Pass is an online tool designed to enable you to:

  • Set up a transportation plan for your child
  • Manage and report arrival and dismissal changes to the school
  • Automatically notify the correct staff, teachers, and other parents when changes are reported
  • Self-manage authorized driver lists
  • Help the school prepare for an organized and timely dismissal process

Access SchoolPass

  • Step One: Ensure your device is up to date

    Take note of which model phone you are using (for example, iPhone 11 Pro or Samsung Galaxy S20)


    Check if your phone operating system is up to date, and if there’s an outstanding update, please download and install it

  • Step Two: Download the SchoolPass App

    Install or update to the latest version of the SchoolPass Parent App

  • Step Three: Log In

    If you were emailed a temporary password, please enter that along with your email address to log in.


    If you do not have a temporary password, or have forgotten your password, click "Forgot Your Password?" on the home screen to be sent a temporary password.


    If you were previously having issues logging in, and have just updated your phone or app as recommended in steps 1 through 3, please try logging in again now.
