Our aim is to ensure every scholar is signed up for high school during the first round of Enroll Indy from November 1st to January 24th. Recognizing the significance of this choice, we're here to support you. Join us at our High School Fair Night for insights from local high schools and Enroll Indy, complemented by a free dinner and giveaways. We cannot wait to see you there!
Nationwide, as many as 10-15% of students (7.5 million) miss nearly a month of school every year. That’s 135 million days of lost time in the classroom. It is important that you scholar is here everyday and on time. Lost instructional time can result in learning loss and retention.
Scholars that are getting perfect attendance each month are celebrated! Here are some of the upcoming celebrations:
November - Free Sky Zone Pass, December - Popcorn Snack Bar, January - Donuts with the Attendance Team
November 15th, 5:30 - 7:00PM
Join us for our second Multilingual Family Night on Wednesday, November 15th, from 5:30 to 7:00 PM. This evening will feature a Resource Fair with a range of supportive organizations such as Adult and Child and Southeast Neighborhood Services, all geared toward assisting you and your multilingual scholar. Come explore resources related to mental health, primary care, career training, language classes, and more. And don't miss out—we'll be serving pizza!
We're excited to reward our scholars who consistently demonstrate our Core Values with a visit to our "Bears Bodega" every third Thursday of the month. As the month draws to a close, these points cumulate, allowing scholars to exchange their virtual currency for exciting prizes at the Bears Bodega. We're thrilled to roll out this initiative and eagerly anticipate celebrating our scholars' exemplary behavior.
We have received all the applications for our Holiday Assistance Program. Be sure to check your child's backpack/folder in the coming weeks for you confirmation letter and any sponsorship paperwork that will need to be submitted.
Nov 8: All sponsorship paperwork due.
Dec 13-15: Scheduled pick-up times for items.
Thanks to all who joined our October FAC meeting – our best-attended yet! If you want your child's Beginning of Year data, please email Reegan Homburg at rhomburg@adelanteschools.org.
Our next meeting is on December 12th at 5:30 PM, focusing on family satisfaction survey results. We'll collaborate on analyzing this data and planning forward. Your input is vital, so we hope you'll join us.
December 6th, 5:30PM - 7:30PM
Celebrate the winter season with us! Experience a festive array of winter holidays showcased through music, activities, food, and a special visit from a North Pole guest. Our K-6 scholars will delight you with a musical performance from 5:30 PM to 6:15 PM, followed by other joyful activities until 7:30 PM. We look forward to seeing you there!
Field experiences are an extension of our curriculum and core values. They allow scholars to take their classroom learning and make it more meaningful. Furthermore, scholars build cultural understanding through field experiences and are exposed to worlds that are outside of their own.
Scholars will participate in academic and incentive focused field experiences this school year. In addition, each grade level will have the opportunity to visit a college campus.
Be sure to check out the school calendar for upcoming field experiences.
